A Bit About Rebekah

We are excited to announce that starting September 1, 2025 Rebekah will transition to seeing clients at our new Cartersville location! This location can be found at 25 Maple Ridge Drive, Suite C, Cartersville, GA 30121. 

 

Rebekah is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. Rebekah also holds an advanced certificate in Child and Adolescent Counseling with an emphasis in Play Therapy. She works with children, teens, and young adults to facilitate healing and growth through the power of play.

 

Rebekah’s clinical experience includes work with clients addressing trauma, behavioral outbursts, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, adoption, and neurodevelopmental differences such as ADHD and Autism, as well as parenting consultations. In her internship, she worked at Inneractions Therapy Services and the Hope Counseling Center, and her most recent experience was with Happy Camper Play Therapy as a play and expressive arts therapist. Rebekah was also a lead clinician as part of a grant, providing group play therapy to children in low-income housing.

 

She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Shorter University and obtained her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University, along with an advanced certificate in Child and Adolescent Counseling with an emphasis in play therapy. She is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor working towards her full designation of Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Registered Play Therapist under the clinical supervision of Trudy Post Sprunk and clinical direction of Charlie Allen

 

Rebekah’s areas of competency include anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, adjustment issues, attachment concerns, separation anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, behavioral issues, divorce adjustment, adoption, foster care, neurodevelopmental disorders (such as ADHD, processing disorders, etc.), and a multitude of child-related concerns/issues.

 

Rebekah enjoys traveling, playing through escape rooms, seeking out new experiences/adventures, baking sourdough, crafting, watching mystery shows, reading fantasy, and spending time with family and friends. Rebekah also enjoys playing and cuddling with her German Shepherd Stella, as well as her two cats Vincent and Persephone.
