A Bit About Haley
Haley is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She works with children and teens to facilitate healing and growth through the power of play and expressive therapies. Haley believes individuals are the experts on themselves and thrive when supported with empathy, unconditional positive regard, and a holistic approach to their unique story. With a background in creative arts and advanced training in play therapy, trauma, and child development, she helps clients build confidence and heal through self-expression and understanding. Haley is passionate about empowering children and adolescents to flourish.
Haley’s clinical experience includes working with clients addressing trauma, behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and neurodevelopmental differences such as ADHD and Autism, as well as parenting consultations. Haley’s areas of competency include anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, adjustment issues, attachment concerns, separation anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, behavioral issues, divorce adjustment, neurodevelopmental disorders (such as ADHD, processing disorders, etc.), and a multitude of child-related concerns/issues.
Haley received her bachelor’s degree in theatre with an emphasis in musical theatre from Valdosta State University and obtained her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University, along with an advanced certificate in Child and Adolescent Counseling with an emphasis in play therapy. Haley’s clinical experience includes working as a play and expressive arts therapist at The Richmont Center of Play Therapy Education. Haley is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor working towards full licensure and the designation of Registered Play Therapist under the clinical supervision of Trudy Post Sprunk LPC, LMFT, RPT-S, EMDR, CPCS.
Haley enjoys singing, visiting new coffee shops, and crocheting. Haley has three fur babies, including a dachshund named Jake and two tabby cats named Fox and Simba, who like to play in her crochet yarn.
